TRX1022 Replacement & Upgrade Program

We have been made aware that a number of customers are experiencing installation or function issues with earlier versions of the TRX1022. After investigation, we have identified the root cause and have completed a revised design that resolves the issue.

Our team is actively working to remedy the situation for all affected customers. All eligible customers will receive a free replacement based on their original purchase, with multiple replacement options available depending on configuration.

This page outlines the replacement options and provides the form required to submit your replacement request.

What Was Identified

During the reset cycle, the dwell portion of the forced reset mechanism on earlier TRX1022 versions may not allow full clearance of the Ruger 10/22 bolt base. This condition has been corrected in the updated revision.

The new TRX1022 revision resolves this issue and has been validated for proper bolt clearance and reset function.

Reset Geometry Alignment and Design Update

As illustrated above, the peak of the reset surface is designed to be level with the body of the Ruger 10/22 fire control group housing. This alignment ensures that, at the moment of reset, the trigger interface does not extend above the bolt clearance plane.

The rearward sloped surface following the reset peak is now inline with the vertical plane of the fire control group housing. This corrected geometry allows the bolt base to pass fully rearward during recoil without contacting the trigger interface, ensuring uninterrupted bolt travel.

By removing excess material from the trailing edge and correcting the reset slope, the updated design eliminates interference during the reset cycle. This enables full bolt clearance, proper timing, and a complete, reliable trigger reset.

Stainless Steel Version Update

The stainless steel TRX1022 has been updated to include a spring hold notch, bringing it into alignment with the carbon fiber version, which already incorporated this feature. The addition of this notch ensures spring placement and further refines reset behavior.

Together, these updates represent the finalized reset geometry for the TRX1022 and are incorporated into all replacement units going forward.
